This video segment, starting at [01:10], provides an overview of simple classification of substances, a subtopic under matter, properties, and transformation, focusing on lessons about mixtures and pure substances and classification of matter as a pure substance or a mixture, as well as the differences between them. Types of mixtures and the separations were also mentioned, including parts 1, 2, 3 and 4. The lecture proceeded with the correction of a prior assignment from the previous lesson which was to define what a distillate is, and state the method to separate air components as well as palm oil and water. As for air components, the separation method is fractional distillation, while separating palm oil and water, we use a separating funnel.
